Fantastic Star Trek art prints capturing the esthetics of the 1960s by Juan Ortiz. #StarTrek

Go to the link above to purchase these for $35 a pop. ‘The Way to Eden’ featured above is has a Grateful Dead style look.

The Way to Eden: The look here is Grateful Dead-esque. “I knew that I wanted to create a black-light poster for this series, and naturally, “The Way to Eden,” with its hippie theme, seemed perfect,” says the artist.

The City on the Edge of Forever: In drawing the character Edith Keeler, Ortiz went with “a ’70s/’Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ approach.” The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine was and still is a big influence in much of his work.

The Ultimate Computer: Ortiz wanted to be sure to credit not just the lead actors, but the writers and director as well. He says, “They are, after all, the creators. I’m just interpreting their words and visuals in a different format.”

Dagger of the Mind: “The image is a stylized version of the patch worn by the doctor in the episode,” says Ortiz. “I tried to give this poster an old Playbill look.”

Welcome to Louis Trapani is Trapped on Earth! A tumblelog by Louis Trapani. This site started out as one where I could quickly and easily share items of interest found on the net with others. For the most part, it still is, it's not my full featured blog (see Louis Trapani's blog). I also post some of my photographs I share via the Instagram app and other similar apps that share to Tumblr on the iPhone.

Visit my main site, arttrap.com (Art Trap Productions) where I maintain an actual blog and more.

For all things Doctor Who, Torchwood, and related visit the Gallifreyan Embassy, home of the world renowned award winning Doctor Who podcast, Doctor Who: Podshock.
