I thought Star Wars merchandising was somewhat out of control when I saw Star Wars shoelaces back in 1983. Some years later I saw Yoda slippers. More footwear from a galaxy far, far away is coming in 2010.

They threw in everything including the kitchen sink in the recent “Star Trek” reboot movie, so it’s not surprising R2-D2 made an appearance. (via BlurayPhile)
