Darth Vader is part of the architecture of the Washington National Cathedral. #StarWars
There is more to see than Abraham Lincoln there… You can spot the Lord of the Sith there as well on the northwest tower. You’ll need binoculars or some other aid as it is pretty high up, but it’s there.
There was a children’s competition back in the 1980s for a decorative sculpture while the tower was undergoing construction. Christopher Rader won 3rd place with his rendition of Vader… Wait a second, Rader, Vader? Coincidence? Hmmm… It was then sculpted by Jay Hall Carpenter and carved by Patrick J. Plunkett.

Care for a Jelly Baby? They are huge this year. #DoctorWho (via @daveac)
You’ll need more teeth than Tom Baker’s smile to chew these massive Jelly Babies though. Sculptor Maro Perucchetti has created the Jelly Baby Family installation to be displayed in central London’s Marble Arch. See the link below for details.

Transporter Art! I bet the photo doesn’t do it justice. I would love to see this in person. Very cool. #StarTrek
ianbrooks:

The sculpture is composed of a series of very familiar characters in the process of beaming up.  Spock, Kirk and McCoy are actually made up of semi translucent beads as the close ups here show.  When viewed up close the image blurs somewhat but from a distance are almost photographic in their realism.
Captain Kirk in bead form: still smooth.
